Ellen was, since the day I met her, full of life and energy. She always was either returning from or planning an adventure. Whether it was learning to surf, or just spending time relaxing in her favorite place. She had an outlook on life that was outside and beyond the sickness and pain that surrounded her at work. Ellen's patients never had to ask for anything, and as brief as their stay with her in the ER was, she left a lasting impression on them. She was a friend, and a pure-hearted person that didn't ask for anything in return. You could not say no to her, because she wouldn't say no to you. Saying goodbye to you is hard, but saying thank you is more appropriate. Thank You for being my friend.
