I'm so very sorry to hear of Sam's death. The last Gerard and I had seen him was in Grand Central station. We hugged and talked and, of course, laughed! I remember him always as a man who, when he entered a room, filled it. Who laughed much and who made others laugh (and sometimes cringe - but then so did G- great cringes) but who, I suspect, held much within. Thank you for letting me know - a tip of the hat and a hug to him wherever he may be; the richness of his stories are filling the air somewhere!
