Carl Albert Holz, 84, passed at his home on October 3, 2016. Born on November 7, 1931 in the Bronx to Emelia (nee Dreyer) and Arthur Holz. He grew up on Intervale Ave and had a passionate love for everything Bronx. For over 50 years, he lived in Eastchester with his loving wife Irmgard. Among his passions were his family, garden, country home, fishing and of course, the NY Yankees. He retired from the NYC Board of Education in 1993.

He is survived by his wife Irmgard, his daughters, Joyce, Elaine (Joe) Goscilo and Marilyn (Richard) Kretzer as well as his loves, his grandchildren - Angela and Carolyn Goscilo and Aidan and Drew Kretzer. His brother Arthur predeceased him.

The family will receive friends at The Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester, on Thursday - October 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday - October 7, 2016 at the Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery - Bronx, Ny.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Memory of: Carl A. Holz to the Humane Society of Westchester or Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville, NY.
