Modesta DeLuca, a resident of Eastchester and formerly of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 4, 2015. She was born in Lappano, Italy on September 12, 1921 to the late Gennaro and Antoinetta (Talarico) Cuconato. Modesta is survived by her children, Rose Greco (Guido), Maria Marciano (Dominic), Carmela Siconolfi (Vincenzo) and Anthony DeLuca (Charlene). She is also survived by a sister Enissa Fiorito, and a brother Alberino Cuconato, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday November 6 , 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. Eastchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 7, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 10:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
