Norma Zeppieri, 83, a longtime resident of Tuckahoe died July 16, 2010 after a valiant battle with Leukemia with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 1, 1926 in Tuckahoe, NY to the late Anna and Domenic Marocco and was a graduate of Eastchester High School and Victory Business School in Mt. Vernon. In 1951 during a trip to Italy with her mother, Norma was introduced to Tonino Zeppieri, whom an aunt thought was a “good fellow”. They married Dec. 19, 1951 in Frosinonne, Italy and she returned to Tuckahoe. After he joined her in July, 1952, the couple married again on August 17, 1952 at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe where they settled. Norma worked at Lorilard Tobacco Company in New York City before their sons, Tonino, Jr. and Stephen were born. Norma was a devoted parishioner of Assumption Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandsons at home in Tuckahoe and Walton, NY. Norma loved Audrey Hepburn; watching “All My Children” and “Everybody Loves Raymond”; watching figure skating; listening to music and talk radio. Norma was devoted to her husband, Tonino, and to her sons and their families: Tonino, Jr., his wife Rose Ann (Colasuonno), their sons Anthony and Daniel of White Plains,NY and Stephen and his wife Laura (Kuczma) and their sons William and Joseph of Glastonbury, CT. She will be dearly missed. Norma is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ines Marocco, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law nieces and nephews in NY and NJ. She was predeceased by her brother Bernard Marocco of Mt. Vernon, NY and Gilda (Marocco) Scandinaro of Eastchester. Visiting at the Westchester Funeral Home,Inc., Eastchester Monday from 2-4, 7-9PM. Mass of Christian Burial, Assumption Church, Tuckahoe, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 10 AM followed by interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to Luekemia and Lymphoma Society or Hospice of Westchester.
