Caroline A. Jones was taken to the Lord at 103 years old on May 10, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Arthur. Loving mother of Robert Jones and his wife Roslyn. Caroline was the last survivor of 9 siblings. During the Spanish Influenza of 1917, Caroline contracted the Spanish Influenza, and doctors advised that she wouldn’t survive. Caroline went on to live another 93 years. To the end her mind was very lucid and she enjoyed watching Yankee baseball games, playing Jeopardy, and reading. She was born in the Bronx on January 15, 1907 to William and Amelia Brown. Her family moved to Yonkers in 1987. The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER, Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM, and Thursday 2-4pm ONLY. A funeral service will be held on Friday May 14th at 10AM at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4360 Theodore Wittrock Crossing, Bronx, NY. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum. Friends who wish may contribute to the Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4360 Theodore Wittrock Crossing, Bronx, NY 10466.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Aunt Caroline. I thought of her often and I wish I had been able to visit with her and hear her stories!
