My deepest sympathy to the Vandeveer family. Mr Vandeveer was a great friend, neighbor and role model to me and the Waitzman family. He always had a kind word of encouragement, a pat on the back or a funny story. He'll be missed by many. Best wishes to your family during this difficult time.

I have many fond memories of Warren as a wonderful friend to my parents, Peg & Sid, and a terrific neighbor to us all. Warren always made us laugh and his words and stories will live on as we often quote his funny lines and stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of sadness for your great loss. With condolences and prayers, Shelley

I am so saddened, as well as the entire Waitzman family, to hear of Warren's passing. We all have wonderful memories of times spent with the Vandeveers' in Colonial Heights. I'll never forget his terrific sense of humor and quick wit. Mr Vandeveer will be truly missed by many. May God bless him and the Vandeveer family...

When Helen called tonight to tell me about Warren's death, I felt numb! Even though I was somewhat prepared, one is never really ready for the final bad news. Warren will always be remembered for being a kind, helpful neighbor. We had great times together for over 40 years. They were great role models and their children are fortunate to have such wonderful parents. We consider ourselves lucky to have known and loved them both for so long. Warren and Helen will both be remembered in our daily prayers. Sid and Peg Waitzman Mt Pleasant, South Carolina
